Happy New Year!!! There is a lot to post from the holidays so here goes.....
Mom and Dad went to some Christmas parties and we all got to go to one as a family. The first was the Boothe "Ugly Christmas Sweater and Carroling" party. Wow. They looked so silly! Mom found her sweater at a thrift store, but it was "new" because it had tags (from Sears) on it. Mom got Dad one, but he was not satisfied with the level of "holiday-ness." So, he set off on the day of the party in search of a true holiday sweater. To no avail, he created his own masterpiece. He bought pins from Walmart and strategically placed them in accordance to the jingle bell necklace (with a Santa hat) which hung proudly from his neck. Yikes. They had more fun seeing all of the creative designs at the party. Everyone really got into the spirit. Their favorite was the guy who was at least 6' 3" and had on a full elf outfit (leggins and all). Fantastic!

The party where Mommy and Daddy took us was hosted by the Brooks family (Mommy's junior high/high school friend and her family). It was fun because there were a few other kids there as well. We ate a lot of cookies (and I mean a lot) and had Shirley Temples to drink. It was so festive! We stayed way too late though and fell asleep on Daddy at the end of the night.

Me & my new BFF (Julie)
Mommy talked to her friends way too long. This was the result:
We had our school Christmas party and Santa Claus came to see everyone! Easton was being silly and didn't want to talk to him, but I sure did. I sat on his lap and told him all about the toys I wanted for Christmas. He was really nice and gave me a candy cane! If you'll notice in the picture, everyone in my class was wearing the sweatshirts that we made....except me. "Princesses don't wear sweatshirts." That's what I told my teachers. However, you will definitely find the tiara on my head.
We love each other so much!

Singing our Christmas carols for the parents:
Easton did not sing or ring the jingle bells. However, he made sure to sit next to his girlfriend, Abby (Babby). He just LOVES her!
Scared of the jolly man:

We got to decorate cookies and make reindeer food with our Crowe cousins. It was so fun being creative and messy. We love spending time with them and can't wait until they come back!
We had the best time!
They even gave us piggy back rides (gee gee bah rides)!!!

We had 3 Christmas celebrations this year with family. It was so much fun because we really understood the meaning of Christmas as well as the idea of Santa Clause. We drove Mom and Dad crazy by pointing out every toy in the stores, on tv or anywhere else and telling them that's what we wanted for Christmas. It was a daily (sometimes hourly) event.
12/23: The first Christmas celebration was with the Loehr/Reeves combined families. It was at Grammy and Grampy's house. All of my aunts, uncles and cousins were there. It was chaotic and wonderful. We at a lot of yummy food, opened a ridiculous amount of presents, played bingo and most importantly got to spend time with our family.

12/24: The second Christmas celebration was with the Loehr family. There are 6 kids under 5 on that side so you can imagine the insanity that goes with this celebration. It was at Uncle Charles and Aunt Phyllis' house this year. Super fun times with all of our cousins!!! We love spending time with them and we all get along so well. Our cousins, Grace (4 1/2) and Devin (1 1/2), live in San Antonio so it's an extra special treat when they're here. Our cousin, Merrilee (3), lives in Dallas so we get to play with her often. And she's going to have a baby brother or sister this year!!! Baby Tay-Tay (Quintin 2 1/2) lives close as well. He's moving even closer to us soon! We can't wait!

12/25: The third Christmas celebration was Santa's gifts followed by Nana and Daywah coming over for Christmas lunch. We had more fun seeing what Santa brought for us. Our big gifts were a princess vanity and Brother got a tool bench and race car set! Other toys included books, "make up", Buzz Light year stuff, dinosaurs, Groovy Girls and lots more! Santa was so good to us and we were so giddy with excitement. We also got to open gifts from those who weren't here to celebrate with us. Bompa and Madee got us Leapster hand held game systems. We were crazy about those! They're perfect for road trips and the games are educational as well!
Gifts from Santa, Mommy & Daddy, and out of town friends/relatives:

Waking Brother up on Christmas morning:
I can't believe Santa really brought me the Princess vanity!!!
Brother got a tool bench and race track!

Nana and Daywah arrived about noon and brought even more gifts. Mom says we need a bigger house and Dad says to just get rid of the toys. I wonder who will win! We ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Overall, it was a wonderful holiday season and we enjoyed spending time with everyone. We missed all you who weren't here and hope that we can see you next year!
We love our Daywah!!!
Nana got me a bunch of Princess stuff!!
End of the day.....worn out!

Wow ... those are some presents! I think "ya'll" needed at least a week to recover from all of your festivities - sounds fun! Umm ... Peyton, you're a smart girl because those sweatshirts that the other kids are wearing are DARN ugly ... and no princess would be caught dead in one!!!
