Moving Out

The week of August 9 our Mckinney house was packed up and driven to Phoenix.  The kids and I stayed with Grammy and Grampy as Hunter was in Boston (lucky dog).  The packing and loading could have gone a bit smoother.  They crammed 3 days of packing and loading into 2.  My poor dad came and relieved me the second day around 5:00 and didn't leave until 11:00 pm.  They had been there since 7:00 am.  Needless to say the company apologized for this mishap and has tried very hard to make things right.  The GM promised to have his top crew in Phoneix helping us with the delivery and unpacking.  We'll see.  I spent two days on the couch "taking it easy", but that was awfully weird watching other people pack up and load our stuff.  We've never had packers before so I didn't know exactly what to expect.  However, being eight months pregnant it was nice to have the help.  They also shipped our car which was also nice so that we didn't have to make the 17 hour car trip!

We met Hunter at the airport after arriving from Boston on Friday, August 13 and we all flew on the second leg of his flight to Phoenix.  We stayed in a hotel the first night and moved into our temporary apartment the next day.  It's a 2 bedroom apartment with a pond view and close to everything....the freeway, stores, and restaurants.  It's nice enough, but we're all ready to get settled into our home.
