Birthday Box

Our Daisy Scout troop put together a birthday box for a little girl who might not otherwise get to have a birthday party.  The box contains everything from decorations to games to a cake mix.  We chose to donate it to the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center.  The Clark kids and I dropped off the package to a very enthusiastic group of administrators.  Below is some brief information on the center and what they do.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County opened in 1992 and has since served over 33,000 children. We have come a long way in 17 years and our range of services has grown dramatically, as has the number of children we serve. When we were founded, we were serving 10% of child abuse victims in Collin County, and today we offer services to 100% of the children identified as victims of abuse.

The mission of the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County is to provide safety, healing and justice to children victimized by abuse or neglect.
