Summer Vacation Part 2

Our vacation officially began on June 12. The four of us flew into Los Angeles and dropped off the kids with Hunter's parents.  We spent the night in LA and got to have dinner with Kent & Monica too.  Hunter and I left the next morning for Hawaii and the rest of the family headed back to Hesperia.

Hunter and I got back late to Los Angeles from Hawaii on the 17th.  Kent and Monica picked us up at LAX and drove us to Hesperia.  We spent the day there with Bompa & Madee swimming and doing laundry.  We packed up the kids and grandparents and headed out to Phoenix the following morning.  After renting a car, stopping for lunch at In N Out and several times along the way for gas and restrooms we arrived in Phoenix around dinner time.  We checked into the hotel then went to dinner.  After that we checked out a local frozen yogurt place and made a quick stop at Target.

Sunday Hunter and I met up with the realtor at 9:30 am.  We saw close to 20 houses in 106 degree heat.  Several of the houses were two stories and vacant so no air conditioning was provided.  Ugh!  A 6 month pregnant girl doesn't fair too well in those conditions.  However, after a cherry Coke with lunch we headed out for the rest of our day.  The kids had a great day with Bompa and Madee at the hotel swimming and hanging out.  We all went to dinner and explored a little bit of Scottsdale before calling it a night.

Monday we were at it again.  We met the realtor early and were followed by the grandparents and kids.  Bompa & Madee left after lunch and it was just the 5 of us.  The kids did really well and for the most part enjoyed the house hunt.  At the end of the day Peyton got car sick and couldn't eat her dinner.  Poor thing!  They were both such troopers.  We left early Tuesday morning in order for Hunter to catch a 2:00 flight out of Orange County to Seattle for meetings.  From there the kids and I headed to Kent's house to spend the night before the next chapter of our vacation....Laguna Beach with our friends.

On the way to the airport.  We had to have a driver since all of our bags wouldn't fit in our one remaining car.

Ready to fly!

They were so funny checking out the safety briefing cards.
